{"id":3751,"date":"2025-11-21T11:21:14","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T11:21:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mannverk.is\/?p=3751"},"modified":"2025-11-21T11:21:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T11:21:16","slug":"official-handover-of-laugaras-lagoon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mannverk.is\/en\/official-handover-of-laugaras-lagoon\/","title":{"rendered":"Official Handover of Laugar\u00e1s Lagoon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Laugar\u00e1s Lagoon was officially handed over to the client on 13 November, when Brynd\u00eds Bj\u00f6rnsd\u00f3ttir, CEO of Laugar\u00e1s Lagoon, received the keys from \u00de\u00f3runn Arnard\u00f3ttir, Project Manager, and Jakob \u00c1smundsson, Site Manager at Mannverk. Ground was broken in March 2024, and the lagoon and the restaurant Ylja opened to the public in October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lagoon itself measures 1,000 m\u00b2 over two levels, complemented by a 1,700 m\u00b2 main building that houses the reception, changing facilities, technical rooms, kitchen, staff areas, and the Ylja restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project was designed by T.ark Architects in collaboration with Anthony Bacigalupo, who led the interior design.
