Interesting building project in the harbor zone
Mannverk led the development of the so-called Tryggvagata site, consisting of several buildings on Tryggvagata and Vesturgata. The project began as a development initiative and evolved into a successful construction project, completed in 2018.

This was an ambitious design project, with a strong focus on respecting the surrounding environment, history, and cultural heritage. Great care was taken to preserve the overall streetscape, ensuring that the new development blended seamlessly with its surroundings. The project significantly enhanced the quality of the neighborhood, delivering outstanding buildings where restored historic structures in their original form harmoniously coexist with beautiful new constructions. The fusion of old and new is a defining characteristic of Reykjavík’s city center.
