Commissioning

Mannverk has managed and participated in numerous projects involving technical testing and commissioning of complex equipment in buildings and service systems for our clients. Within Mannverk, a dedicated team of specialists has developed expertise in systematic methods for testing and documenting results—covering the full lifecycle of equipment from design stage to handover, with comprehensive documentation at every step.

The systems involved include equipment in buildings and industrial facilities such as power and backup power systems, cooling systems, ventilation systems, piping systems, safety and security systems, control systems, monitoring systems, and other technical infrastructure requiring functional verification and often extensive testing against design criteria, system descriptions and functional specifications. These methods are commonly referred to as systematic commissioning.

Mannverk’s Quality Manual provides the foundation for our testing processes, which are adapted to the needs and equipment of each client. Our procedures for system testing and commissioning reference international standards such as EN 50600 (ISO 22237), guidelines from the Uptime Institute, and the Icelandic handbook on systematic commissioning (FSFE 2023).

On this solid basis, Mannverk can offer comprehensive services in testing and commissioning of systems and buildings—from design-phase test planning and commissioning strategies to coordinating specialist teams, managing the commissioning process and performing final verification to ensure that all system performance requirements have been met, with full traceability and documentation.
