Laugarás Lagoon
Laugarás Lagoon is located in Laugarás near Iðubrú in the Bláskógabyggð area, and it is set to open to visitors next summer, with construction currently underway.

The facility will feature a two-story bathing area, geothermal steam baths heated with natural hot water from a village spring, and a cold pool filled with glacial water from the Hvítá River. Thanks to the expansive views over the river, forests, countryside, and surrounding mountains, the lagoon will offer a magical blend of relaxation and closeness to nature.

At the onsite restaurant, Ylja, guests can enjoy a diverse, seasonal menu emphasizing ingredients sourced from local producers. The lagoon is situated on the banks of Hvítá, conveniently located in Laugarás at the heart of the Golden Circle, near iconic natural and historical landmarks.

The project is designed by T.ARK architects, with engineering handled by Efla, lighting design by Hildiberg, and project management led by Þórunn Arnardóttir.
