Official Handover of Laugarás Lagoon

Laugarás Lagoon was officially handed over to the client on 13 November, when Bryndís Björnsdóttir, CEO of Laugarás Lagoon, received the keys from Þórunn Arnardóttir, Project Manager, and Jakob Ásmundsson, Site Manager at Mannverk. Ground was broken in March 2024, and the lagoon and the restaurant Ylja opened to the public in October 2025.

The lagoon itself measures 1,000 m² over two levels, complemented by a 1,700 m² main building that houses the reception, changing facilities, technical rooms, kitchen, staff areas, and the Ylja restaurant.

The project was designed by T.ark Architects in collaboration with Anthony Bacigalupo, who led the interior design. A wide range of specialised partners contributed to the project, including Hildiberg for lighting design and Efla for technical engineering, alongside a dedicated group of contractors and craftsmen who delivered high-quality work throughout.

Mannverk extends its sincere thanks to all partners for their excellent collaboration and congratulates all stakeholders on this outstanding achievement.

Thank you for bringing this vision to life:
