Mannverk has a ISO 9001:2015 certification

Mannverk have received a certification according to the management standard ISO 9001:2015.

From the first days of Mannverk, the board of directors decided to develop a quality management system that would fulfill the requirements for a ISO 9001:2015 certification and in end of 2016 Mannverk applyed for a certification according the standard.

Last May the company took the final step in the certification process with an audit of the system that took two days.

Mannverk is one of the three building contractor organization in Iceland that have implement the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Building a Nordic Swan Ecolabelled building

Mannverk is building the first ecolabel house in Iceland located at Brekkugata Street 2 in the Reykjavík suburb of Garðabær. The house is a private houses and is build by voluntary ecolabelling scheme called Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Nordic Swan is the official regional label for the Nordic Countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland) and was established in 1989 by the Nordic Council of Ministers. The official ecolabel have requirements during the entire building process, from the felling of trees to when waste is recycled.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel imposes stringent requirements on, for example: Materials, Good ventilation, The building process, Energy-efficiency and Good indoor climate.

Interesting building project in the harbor zone

Construction has started on Tryggvagata street and Vesturgata street in Reykjavik, next to the harbor. The design teams implemented the project with great respect for the historic surroundings. The modern architecture of the new buildings will blend harmoniously with the setting of the historic buildings which will be rebuild. This will bring a new life into the harbor zone and the buildings will get new life as a hotel and office and apartment buildings, with stores at ground level.
